Ricca Design Studios focuses on crafting culinary spaces that support dining experiences by improving back-of-house efficiency and addressing chefs’ needs. The firm collaborates with architects and interior designers to develop open kitchen concepts that harmonize with the space’s aesthetic while enabling guests to observe the kitchen activity. By integrating the kitchen’s sights, sounds, and aromas into the dining area, the studio aims to create a cohesive atmosphere.

Its principals bring backgrounds across professional kitchens, food and beverage leadership, hospitality education, nutrition, and restaurant design, providing a practical understanding of how a culinary operation runs. The practice emphasizes international project experience and a diverse culinary portfolio, which informs its approach to innovation and culinary technology within design projects. Based in Centennial, Colorado, the firm operates in the design services industry as a mid-sized studio and has received recognition in 2022 for an academic paper honorable mention at AAAI-22.
