Revive & Restore is a conservation-focused biotechnology research nonprofit based in Sausalito, California, founded in 2012. It aims to apply 21st-century biotechnology to conservation by increasing genetic diversity, enhancing disease resistance, and supporting adaptation to promote biodiversity through genetic rescue of endangered and extinct species. Over the years, Revive & Restore has engaged in collaborations with other conservation and research partners and has pursued projects relating to genetic approaches to wildlife preservation, including the Woolly Mammoth Revival initiative launched in 2015.
