Rescue Mission Alliance is a faith-based nonprofit rooted in Southern California, with more than five decades of service and a growing national reach. The organization supports individuals and families facing homelessness, housing insecurity, domestic violence, addiction, hunger, and economic instability, delivering a mix of direct services and social enterprise to help move people from crisis toward stability. Its programs include emergency and transitional housing for men, women, families, and women with children; domestic violence and trafficking survivor support; food banks and hunger relief; recovery and life-skills training; and thrift stores that fund services and provide job training. Beyond direct services, RMA operates as a centralized platform that provides leadership, finance, human resources, technology, marketing, fundraising, and governance support to local missions, enabling frontline teams to focus on people while maintaining sustainability and impact. It also pursues research and thought leadership in collaboration with national organizations to inform faith-based and community responses to poverty and displacement, aiming to expand its reach and effectiveness. Based in Oxnard, California, the organization collaborates with churches, donors, foundations, civic leaders, and fellow rescue missions to grow its reach.
