Renaissance West Community Initiative is a nonprofit organization that coordinates the education and services continuum for the former Boulevard Homes public housing site in Charlotte, North Carolina. It pursues a community-centered model that weaves mixed-income housing with educational opportunities, youth and adult development programs, health and wellness services, and commercial investment to support neighborhood renewal. Operating in the civic and social sector, RWCI brings together housing, education, health, and economic development initiatives to serve residents and surrounding stakeholders. The organization is based in Charlotte and operates as a small to mid-sized nonprofit. Leadership development in 2023 included the appointment of Laura Yates Clark as chief executive officer. RWCI has pursued partnerships to advance its mission, including collaborations with Renwest Consulting Inc. to develop a training center, with Inlivian to deliver the Family Self-Sufficiency Program, and with CMS Foundation to expand digital access.
