Real Change is a Seattle-based nonprofit that seeks to create opportunities and provide a voice for people who are low-income or experiencing homelessness, while pursuing economic, social, and racial justice. The organization operates three integrated programs: a Vendor Program that offers low-barrier work opportunities to hundreds of individuals each year, Real Change Newspaper produced by staff and volunteers with input from a homeless editorial committee, and Real Change Advocacy that mobilizes cross-class support to defend basic needs and civil rights.

Through its Vendor Program, more than eight hundred participants engage annually, earning by selling the newspaper at a fixed price and gaining additional training and leadership opportunities. The newspaper itself is produced by four professional staff and dozens of volunteers, and its editorial oversight includes input from people with lived experience of homelessness; it has earned multiple awards, including 14 first-place honors in 2015 from the Washington Press Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. Real Change is described as North America’s leading street newspaper. In October 2022, Real Change News announced a partnership with Little Bird Piano Academy.
