Reading In Motion, based in Chicago, Illinois, focuses on helping students achieve reading proficiency in their early years. The organization partners with schools and teachers to deliver a reading curriculum that blends music and drama, available in English and Spanish. On-site specialized coaches accompany the program to support students' learning and to help teachers grow their instructional practice.

Its work targets elementary students, particularly those who face environmental or other challenges that hinder literacy development. By applying this approach within the education administration programs field, it aims to improve literacy outcomes for elementary students. In September 2023, Reading In Motion launched an e-commerce platform and a redesigned website to expand access to its materials.
