About R-G Federal Credit Union is proud to serve Jackson, Cass, Johnson, Bates, Vernon, Henry, St. Clair, Cedar, Hickory, Morgan, Benton and parts of Pettis County in Missouri. Today, one in every three Americans is a Credit Union member. Mission It shall be the mission of the Officials and Staff of the R-G Federal Credit Union to operate the Credit Union in accordance with the Federal Credit Union Act, The National Credit Union Administration rules & regulations and other applicable laws and regulations. Accordingly, our primary objective shall be to ensure the safety and soundness of the Credit Union. Our goal continues to be to efficiently and effectively manage the Credit Union's resources in a manner that will facilitate the delivery of the widest possible array of world class financial services to the membership and to insure the continued sound growth and development of the Credit Union. Description The first Credit Union cooperative started in Germany over a century ago. Today, Credit Unions are found everywhere in the world. The Credit Union movement started in this country in Manchester, New Hampshire. There, the St. Mary's Cooperative Credit Association, a church affiliated Credit Union, opened its doors in 1909. R-G Federal Credit Union was chartered on September 12th, 1957 to serve Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base's Military and Civilian Personnel. In 1984, the Whiteman Community Credit Union merged with R-G Federal Credit Union. R-G was then able to serve the military members associated with Whiteman Air Force Base and the surrounding communities. In July of 2008, R-G Federal merged with Missouri Family Credit Union. R-G Federal Credit Union is proud to serve the following counties in the state of Missouri: Jackson, Cass, Johnson, Bates, Vernon, Henry, St. Clair, Cedar, Hickory, Morgan, Benton and parts of Pettis. Today, one in every three Americans is a Credit Union member.
