Qatalum is a primary aluminium smelter that forms part of Qatar's industrial base, producing high-quality aluminium products at a capacity of 625,000 tonnes per year. It is located about 50 km south of Doha in Mesaieed Industrial City and includes facilities such as a port, a carbon plant, twin 1.2-kilometer potlines, storage facilities, and a captive power plant. In May 2026, Vision Development Project was awarded a turnkey contract by Qatalum for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a new streetlighting system across its smelter complex in Mesaieed Industrial City.
