Founded in 2017 as Stuart Collective, PUBLIC has worked on the frontlines of climate, education, healthcare, and workers’ rights. Together with our partners, we’ve secured billions for schools, elected transformational leaders, and helped pass policies that protect everyday people. We also learned a hard truth: good ideas aren’t enough. Strategy sits unused. Coalition messages get diluted. Teams are forced to react instead of lead. So in 2024, we rebuilt PUBLIC for what the moment demands. Today, PUBLIC is a collective of strategists dedicated to supporting our peers to address the emergency facing American democracy, while finding joy and building toward movements of the future. We help political strategists take action and build real power—without giving up or giving in. Our work combines training, tools, community, and bespoke consulting designed to help leaders move forward. We turn strategy into simple, usable systems, so good ideas don’t get lost.
