PT Len Industri (Persero) is a Bandung, West Java-based company in the defense and space manufacturing sector with 501-1000 employees. The company is government-owned, 100% owned by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, and operates under the coordination of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and PT Danantara Asset Management. Len has developed a diversified electronics portfolio serving industry and infrastructure, including railway transport systems on major lines in Java and Sumatra and urban mass transit projects such as LRT systems and the Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta Airport Skytrain, along with telecommunications infrastructure and broadcasting technology. It also produces defense electronics for land, sea, and air domains, including radar systems, tactical radios, datalinks, naval combat systems, and tactical electric bikes, and is active in renewable energy through solar power plants. Established in 1965 as the National Electrotechnical Institute and restructured as a state-owned enterprise in 1991, Len was designated in 2022 as the holding company for Indonesia’s state-owned defense industries under the DEFEND ID brand, and it has pursued international partnerships with firms such as Thales, BlackSky, Nevesbu, and Babcock International Group.
