In the Energy sector, Prysmian Group operates in the business of underground and submarine power transmission cables and systems, special cables for applications in many different industrial sectors and medium and low-voltage cables for the construction and infrastructure industry. In the Telecom sector, the Group manufactures cables and accessories for the voice, video and data transmission industry, offering a complete range of optical fibres, optical and copper cables and connectivity systems. The Group was created through the union of Prysmian and Draka, already leaders in their markets for innovation and technological know-how. Prysmian Group operates in ASEAN with 5 plants (Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand) and a distribution centre in Singapore serving both Energy and Telecom markets with highly complementary range of products and services to meet the needs of our Customers. Cable solutions in ASEAN are country specific because cable standards as well as distribution and logistics processes vary in the individual countries in which the Group is active. Prysmian Group ASEAN deals with many different customs and cultures and therefore adopts a local approach to the market. We are able to propose cabling solutions based on a “full package” basis, thanks to the complete product range available locally in the region.
