Prosperity Digital Marketplace (PDM) is a non-profit that provides personalized access to resources for those living paycheck-to-paycheck, known in the United Way community as ALICE®. ALICE, which stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained and Employed, make up an astonishing 43% of the US population. And ALICE is growing —struggling to pay their bills and live within a sustainable budget. They work hard, often in multiple jobs, and with wages that simply cannot sustain their family. ALICE households are consumed with supporting their families, making it difficult for them to find the time to look for support. When they do attempt to find it, ALICE often discover they make a little too much to qualify for aid – sometimes only $1 an hour more – yet which is too little to make ends meet. 

The underlying solution to this problem is not only knowing the ALICE community and their needs, but providing a functional and easy way to help them navigate towards help. We know this community and we have worked directly with ALICE to build our platform, Prosperi-Key.  

Prosperi-Key provides ALICE with various channels for help and support, while giving local businesses and nonprofits an opportunity to be seen by a loyal audience in the digital age, and donors the connectedness they crave. This is accomplished through translating these needs into easy-to-follow and actionable solutions, all in one digital environment. ALICE will find opportunities for local and national social services, offers from relevant local and national businesses, and immediate funding options when needed. Prosperi-Key will change the disparate, confusing, and time-wasting experience that the ALICE population engages in today. 

PDM’s Theory of Change: Providing the ALICE community with a tailored one-stop-shop for personalized resources and advice will open up new avenues towards a more connected and equitable future; fiscally, culturally and socially.
