ProjectTogether is a nonprofit organization that drives social transformation. For this purpose, ProjectTogether creates new collective action processes and coordinates hundreds of actors in the joint development of solutions for urgent challenges such as climate change, the corona pandemic, digitization, flight or social cohesion. Partners from society, politics, and business test instruments and methods for a transformative society such as open social innovation, citizen participation, real-life laboratory or collective funding. Since its founding in 2015, ProjectTogether has supported more than 2,000 social initiatives and impact startups and involved tens of thousands of citizens, several federal ministries, eleven state governments and 60 municipalities in ten innovation programs and participation processes such as #WirVsVirus and UpdateDeutschland. Several times, the German government has taken over the patronage of ProjectTogether's activities, most recently in 2022 for Alliance4Ukraine, an alliance of 450 organizations from civil society, government, and business to support refugees. Currently, ProjectTogether also runs the Farm-Food-Climate Challenge, an innovation platform for agriculture and nutrition, and Circular Futures, the real-life laboratory for the circular economy of tomorrow.
