ProjectArt is an education organization focused on expanding access to arts education for children. Founded in 2011 in Harlem and now based in Brooklyn, New York, it aims to unleash children’s creativity and alter how arts education is valued, pursuing large-scale impact through a model built with volunteers and community resources. Operating within the education administration programs sector, the organization serves youth by providing continued art opportunities, including a virtual learning platform launched during the pandemic to maintain art engagement when in-person activities were limited. Its work targets schools, communities, and families seeking arts-rich learning experiences, addressing gaps in arts access and broadening participation in creative education. A recent development involves partnerships to develop art-based merchandise as part of an initiative described as part of their art as activism efforts, reflecting ongoing collaboration with community partners to extend its program reach.
