Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is the largest and oldest rodeo-sanctioning body in the world. It sets and upholds standards for contestant welfare and livestock care while aiming to boost entertainment value and sponsor engagement across the sport. Each year, the PRCA sanctions about 600 top-tier rodeos across 37 states and three Canadian provinces. As a membership-driven organization, it also supports youth rodeo through educational camps and financial assistance for promising competitors and collaborates with allied groups such as Tough Enough to Wear Pink, Miss Rodeo America, the American Quarter Horse Association, and the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. In January 2026, the PRCA expanded its offices by relocating to Cheyenne, Wyoming.
