Power Machinery Center originated in 1950 as a small Allis Chalmers farm machinery dealership know as Power Tractor Company. In 1955, after the potential for future business was considered, the Allis Chalmers material handling franchise contract was signed. The following year, a new separate corporation, Power Lift Company was formed to properly service this growing industry. Not long after, the new corporation accepted the Kern-Tulare
Counties of responsibility which required a branch store to be opened in Bakersfield. We believe that constant attention to customer needs, a genuine dedication to providing the best possible service by qualified employees, and maintaining fair and reasonable costs have allowed our company to enjoy a steady growth and an amiable position of financial strength.
