Portland Symphonic Choir

Portland Symphonic Choir is a Portland-based, largely volunteer chorus established in 1945. Its singers come from across the Portland Metro area and diverse backgrounds under the direction of Artistic Director Steven Zopfi, who has led the ensemble since 2003.

As the resident chorus for the Oregon Symphony, it contributes to the region's classical-music ecosystem. The choir also commissions and premieres new choral works by Northwest and national composers, including Jacob Avshalomov, Morten Lauridsen, Tomas Svoboda, and Bryan Johanson. In January 2019, it announced an Artistic Leadership model to guide its collaborative work.
