Insights

Offshore wind expansion Polenergia's Bałtyk offshore wind program with Equinor creates a multi-GW development pipeline, signaling strong demand for EPC contracts, electrical infrastructure, subsea cabling and long-term O&M services. The phased timeline—with the first phase delivering energy by 2028—offers recurring revenue opportunities and needs for logistics, financing, and port infrastructure. Potential sales angles include turbine components, cabling, substations, and asset management platforms.

Green hydrogen push The group's green hydrogen financing and development plans indicate demand for electrolysis equipment, hydrogen storage and handling solutions, and integration with renewables. This presents opportunities for EPC and balance-of-plant services, hydrogen logistics, gas infrastructure integration, and partnerships to scale hydrogen projects.

Corporate PPAs The InPost power purchase agreement demonstrates corporate appetite for long-term clean energy procurement. This opens opportunities to expand PPA offerings to other industrial customers, along with energy procurement advisory, metering, settlement, and data analytics services to optimize consumption and reporting.

Trading technology Polenergia's adoption of Orchestrade's ETRM platform shows emphasis on advanced energy trading and risk management. This creates sales potential for ETRM customization, data integration, market analytics, cloud deployment, cybersecurity, and training services across the group's trading operations.

ESG finance Active engagement in UN Global Compact and recent offshore wind financing highlight a focus on sustainable finance. Opportunities exist in ESG data platforms, sustainability reporting, green finance advisory, investor relations support, and regulatory/compliance solutions to attract and manage green capital.

Polenergia is the largest privately-owned Polish energy group, consisting of vertically integrated companies operating in the areas of renewable and low-emission energy generation, distribution, trading, and electricity sales. It is also the first Polish company to align its development vision with the goal of building a zero-emission economy.

The Group offers companies green energy from 13 of its own onshore wind farms and 8 photovoltaic farms, with a total capacity of 642 MW. A strategic project currently being developed by the company, in partnership with Equinor, is the construction of three offshore wind farms with a total capacity of up to 3 GW. These farms will be capable of supplying green energy to over 4 million households, supporting Poland’s energy transition. In the first phase, the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 farms, with a capacity of 1.44 GW, will be built. These are expected to deliver clean energy to over 2 million Polish homes as early as 2028. Bałtyk 1, with a capacity of up to 1.56 GW, is the largest and most advanced project being developed in the second phase of Poland’s offshore wind sector. The Group is also actively developing new onshore wind farms, large-scale photovoltaic farms, and energy storage projects.

Polenergia, like its shareholders, is focused not only on economic development but also on social responsibility for current and future generations. The company is actively involved in local communities, supporting schools, organizations, and social initiatives, and running its own educational programs. At the same time, it implements environmental and biodiversity protection projects, combining the development of modern energy with care for nature and the sustainable development of regions.
Polenergia is a partner of the world’s largest initiative for sustainable business – the United Nations Global Compact, and a signatory of the UNGC Ethical Standard.

Polenergia’s shares are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
