PlaySport operates a platform that helps people discover and share sport, recreation, and wellbeing activities that are relevant and accessible. The service offers thousands of experiences—events, classes and training—delivered by about 55,000 organizers across more than 330 activity types. For sports or recreational activity organizers, the platform enables them to create and manage their organization for free, promote new experiences quickly, and handle registrations, payments, and member management through the platform.

It is based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and is run by a mid-sized team. The company's mission is to improve lives through sport, recreation and wellbeing activities and to broaden participation. A recent development includes a partnership with FC Bracknell to offer girl-only football coaching sessions for ages 5 to 11.
