PIVOT creates a pathway from prison to purpose for women in Baltimore. Currently, the existing gap in re-entry services leads to one in four women becoming homeless after release and more than 70% of individuals returning to Baltimore City re-offending within three years. By creating an ecosystem of opportunity including access to housing, transportation, mental health care, addiction treatment, family services, job training, job placement, and community connections, PIVOT seeks to change these odds and create a world where a woman's past doesn't determine her future. As part of the John's Hopkins Social Innovation Lab, PIVOT is building community partnerships, services and support in preparation for a formal launch in Summer 2018.
