Penn State Brandywine is a campus within the Pennsylvania State University system that combines a small, personalized learning environment with the resources of a major public research university. It offers 14 majors that can be completed on campus and provides the first two years of most of Penn State's more than 275 degree programs. Students participate in research, internships, study abroad programs, athletics, clubs, and community service. In 2017, Orchard Hall opened as the campus's first residence hall. Located in Media, Pennsylvania, Penn State Brandywine functions as a mid-sized campus within the Penn State system. Its mission centers on providing on-campus pathways to Penn State's degrees while enabling research, internships, and other experiential learning opportunities.
