Pathfinder Village is a livable community in Edmeston, New York, that serves people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities through integrated residential, educational, vocational, and enrichment programs. It supports learning, social connections, and independence for more than 90 residents and students, with on-site access to a market, a bakery cafe, workshops, events, and a summer camp. Pathfinder Village operates within the broader field of individual and family services, including Otsego Academy, a two-year youth transitions program, and the Kennedy Willis Center, which focuses on family education, life planning resources, and related research. The organization is led by CEO Karen Knavel and governed by a board chaired by William F. Streck, MD, with fundraising led by the Pathfinder Village Foundation; in February 2023, former president and CEO Paul C. Landers retired.
