I am a mathematics tutor and computer science tutor serving the world via the Internet. Students find me to be patient and positive. I enjoy finding ways to help students to gain facility, depth of understanding, appreciation of mathematical thinking, and reawakened curiosity.

I am a licensed teacher with degrees in education (Harvard), mathematics (Carleton), and computer science (Wisconsin). I have taught high school and middle school, in the city and in the suburbs.

We can work on pretty much any topic from elementary school math through BC Calculus, including the SAT math tests (Math Reasoning test and the Math subject tests, Levels 1 and 2) or from basic Web design through AP Computer Science. I welcome homeschoolers.

One of my middle school students taught me the Einstein quote from which I took the "passionately curious" motto. That quote inspires me, and I hope it inspires my students as well. It is a reminder that reawakened curiosity is a big step towards mastery.
