Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC) is a state-established utility agency created in 1902 to reduce pollution in the Passaic River and its tributaries. Based in Newark, New Jersey, it serves a broad portion of northern New Jersey, spanning parts of five counties and 48 municipalities with about 1.4 million residents and an influent capacity of roughly 330 MGD.
