Pangea World Theater is a performing arts organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, founded in 1995. It positions itself as a forum for dialogue and experimentation around race, gender, ethnicity, human rights, politics, and social justice, collaborating with international artists to create performances that cross geographical and cultural boundaries. The company focuses on developing new theater literature and inclusive audition practices to bring voices from diverse communities into artistic processes, reflecting the changing demographics of the Twin Cities. Its work aims to expand artistic possibilities and engage a broad audience through an evolving ensemble and partnerships with other regional and international companies. A notable recent development is a multi-year collaboration with Pillsbury House Theatre to advance a Black Dance Improvisation Festival as part of an extended project called Call to Remember.
