For more than 35 years, Providing Advocacy, Dignity, and Shelter (PADS) has faithfully been providing immediate, critical services to the neediest among us - homeless families, children, women, and men in Lake County. Like a hospital emergency room or triage center, PADS Lake County is the first point of contact and the ONLY emergency shelter for the homeless in Lake County. PADS is often the only hope for someone facing a long night in the cold. The numbers of Lake County's homeless continue to rise at unprecedented rates. In the face of today's brutal economic times, we are seeing a significant increase in families as well as individuals coming to us needing emergency shelter and other important social services including: Year-Round Assessment Center and Street Outreach The Family Center Housing and Assistance Veterans Housing and Supportive Services Safe Haven Housing for Chronically Homeless with Severe Mental Illnesses
