Our Friends Place is a Dallas-based nonprofit organization focused on supporting young women and youth experiencing homelessness. Since 1987, it has provided safe, stable housing and life skills education to help individuals ages 18–24 transition toward independent adulthood, aiming to disrupt cycles of poverty and instability. The organization operates through Transitional Living Centers and offers ongoing weekly life skills workshops, prioritizing long-term pathways to self-sufficiency rather than short-term shelter.
Located in the nonprofit sector, Our Friends Place collaborates with donors, volunteers, corporate sponsors, and community partners to extend its services. A recent development noted in local media is the appointment of a new chief executive officer, reflecting leadership changes during a period of sustained service to the Dallas area.
