I actually started Origin Marketing Communication in 1988.  It has had many different names since then.  It was first called Cook Communication.  I used to get a lot of people calling me looking for phone service.  I went with something more specific, Cook Creative Advertising, when the business was incorporated in 1995.  Then I shortened it to Cook Creative.  I used to get people coming in to the office thinking I was a learning center for chefs.  When I moved to the Seattle area in 2011 I registered my business as Origin Marketing Communication.  

I've had many different names in 26 years of operation.  Still the same owner (me) and still the same services.  I provide creative solutions for business marketing problems.  I am unique because I am both a designer and a writer.  This makes me both fast, efficient and affordable.  Over the years I've worked for many start-ups, non-profits and charitable organizations.  It hasn't made me rich but it has given me the opportunity to be involved in some exciting stuff.  Several years ago I was instrumental in getting the nation's first civil union legislation passed.

Last year I won an award from the Vermont Association of Broadcasters for my copywriting in a radio commercial.  Not bad for a kid who nearly flunked out of freshman english.
