Orbit Group is a not-for-profit housing association based in Birmingham, in the West Midlands, operating within the housing and community development sector. Founded in 1967 by two people on a park bench to address homelessness, the organization now manages about 47,000 affordable homes across the Midlands, East and South East and builds around 1,000 new affordable homes each year. Any surplus generated is reinvested to improve the quality of its homes, the services it provides, and the communities it serves. It targets residents seeking affordable housing and aims to deliver homes that are good quality, affordable, and safe, while contributing to community development. Recently, Orbit Group was recognized with a RoSPA Gold Medal for health and safety performance, reflecting its ongoing emphasis on safety standards.
