Oklahoma Rural Water Association is a small- to mid-sized organization based in Oklahoma City that operates in the environmental services sector. It focuses on rural water systems and communities in Oklahoma, developing and delivering services and programs for its members and the rural residents they serve. Through these efforts, it seeks to improve the quality of life in rural areas by strengthening water infrastructure and related services. Its work includes supporting rural and small municipal water and wastewater systems, including initiatives such as a Rural Infrastructure Grant program launched with the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality in 2022 to help these systems become more sustainable. In May 2025, ORWA joined with state and local agencies and others to secure emergency funding for critical repairs to the Waxoma Lake Dam in Barnsdall, reflecting its role in coordinating resources for rural water infrastructure.
