OCEG is a global nonprofit think tank focused on governance, risk, and compliance. It helped pioneer GRC concepts and Principled Performance, and for more than twenty years has provided open-access frameworks, education, resources, and certifications to professionals worldwide. The organization promotes integrated capability models to guide leadership and strategic decision-making across six disciplines: governance and oversight, strategy and performance, risk and decision support, compliance and ethics, security and continuity, and audit and assurance. 

Its membership exceeds 150,000, comprising individuals from C-suite to individual contributors across small and midsize businesses, international corporations, nonprofits, and government agencies. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, OCEG pursues open-source frameworks and affordable accredited education to broaden access to GRC knowledge, and in December 2022 launched the Integrated Data Privacy Capability Model with a corresponding certification.
