For too long, women have had to choose between wellness and appearance, acceptance and understanding – between comfort and protection. No longer. At Nua, we innovate around women’s whole experience of wellness – not just the most obvious parts of it. We pay attention to the little and big things, the spoken and unspoken frictions. We build safe spaces to lead conversations that transform women’s wellness from a shameful secret to a conscious part of everyone’s daily life. Ultimately, we don’t compromise on care, so women don’t have to compromise on their wellness. HOW WE GOT HERE Nua launched in 2017 with a simple mission: make a pad with the features women actually need—using only the cleanest, completely toxic-free materials. Or, in the words of our founder, 'A pad I’d want my daughter to use.' So, we asked women: How can we make your period better? What do you really need? (Shockingly, no one had ever asked them before – *eye roll*) That’s how our original Complete Comfort Pad was born – India’s first ultra-thin, super absorbent, feather-soft, 100% non-toxic pad that promises zero irritation – in co-creation with hundreds of women who had never before had a say in their own period care. It’s now loved by 15+ lakh women and counting. We kept listening, innovating – and changing the game. We expanded into caring for the full period experience. We launched care that eases teens into puberty and women into motherhood. We built a digital period tracker and an anonymous wellness chat, so women could better understand their bodies. We developed a digital period care assistant, because we realised so many women had inherited their period products, with no chance to learn which fit their needs. And we established school programs that have empowered 10,000+ girls to start their wellness journeys with support instead of shame. Because at Nua, we get you – all of you – and we're here for it.
