The Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS) operates as a member-owned, not-for-profit entity that enables cooperation among its real estate firms through centralized listing data. Born from a merger of four MLSs, it helped modernize access to listings by bringing data online and now serves a broad network of brokers across 26 Washington counties from its Kirkland, Washington headquarters. It offers products and services intended to simplify real estate transactions, improve communications with clients, and market member firms and their listings. Its market comprises real estate firms and more than 30,000 brokers who depend on centralized listing information in Washington state and beyond. In 2025 NWMLS introduced a voice-enabled home-search tool, reflecting ongoing product development, and in early 2026 announced leadership changes with the planned retirement of its chief operating officer and a transition to a successor.
