NorthStar Youth Ministries is a 501(c)3 faith-based nonprofit organization that serves youth in west inner city Birmingham through quality programs that are comparable to those in the Greater Birmingham area. The mission of NorthStar Youth Ministries is to help urban youth find their direction in life through high quality, holistic programs within a nurturing Christian environment. As we fulfill our mission in the west side of Birmingham, we seek to build: - Programs that optimize physical, academic and moral development. - Opportunities for youth to explore and excel in their passions and interests. - Long-term discipleship relationships that encourage spiritual growth. - Commitment to the well being of our target community. - Enthusiastic collaboration among staff, volunteers, parents and youth to use their unique gifts for mutual benefit. NorthStar Youth Ministries has NorthStar Soccer Club and after school activities in the Fall and Spring, as well as Camp NorthStar in the Summer. The organization was founded in 1996 by Executive Director Paul Neville under the name Neighborhood Network.
