Northern Education Trust is a large education-focused organization based in Newcastle in the northeast of England. Founded in 2012, it sponsors thirty academies across the North East and North West, with 17 secondary schools and 13 primary schools; all Ofsted-inspected academies are rated Good or Outstanding.

It maintains a non-selective, inclusive approach with a strong focus on outcomes and on improving life chances for children and young people. It collaborates with local authorities, supports vulnerable learners, and seeks to influence improvements beyond its own schools. In March 2025, the trust appointed Jane Wilson as Chief Executive Officer, marking a notable recent leadership development.
