NCCAT is a North Carolina–based organization that delivers professional development for educators through residential programs, school-based initiatives, and online courses. Founded in 1985, it operates campuses in Cullowhee and Ocracoke and serves every district in the state. Its mission is to broaden teachers' knowledge, instructional skills, and professional practice with the aim of boosting student engagement and achievement. Programs span a wide range of subjects, including digital learning, literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, STEM, and career and technical education.
