NewThing operates in the religious institutions sector and has a relatively small-to-mid-sized staff. The organization has pursued digital strategies to advance church growth, including launching a digital church-planting initiative. In March 2023, NewThing announced this effort with the aim of catalyzing hundreds of new churches over the following year.
