The New York Affordable Reliable Electricity Alliance, Inc. (New York AREA) is a diverse coalition of New York business organizations, labor unions, independent energy experts, and community and environmental leaders. New York AREA’s members are united in support of policies that will supply our state with reliable and affordable electric power to fuel our economy and sustain New York as a world-class place for people to live and do business.

New York AREA helps inform and advocate to the public, news media, and policy makers at all levels about New York’s energy supply challenges. We promote sensible solutions that stimulate the economy and create jobs by meeting New York’s growing demand for power.

New York AREA was formed in 2003 as a 501c6, non-partisan, not-for-profit trade organization.
