New Imaging Technologies (NIT) is a French semiconductor company focused on short-wave infrared imaging, founded in 2007 as a spin-off from the French National Research Center for Telecommunications. It began with CMOS visible sensors but soon shifted to InGaAs-based SWIR products, supported by extensive R&D across read-out circuits, hybridization, photodiode arrays, camera electronics, and software. The company has evolved into a vertically integrated source for SWIR sensors and cameras, and since 2024 it operates as the SWIR business unit of LYNRED. Its product lineup ranges from compact, low-cost SWIR sensors to high-speed line arrays and large-format focal plane arrays, covering formats from VGA to Full HD. Based in Verrières-le-Buisson in the Île-de-France region, France, NIT serves system integrators and customers in industrial, scientific, and laser imaging markets, and recent developments include the launch of SWIR camera CAD models and a resource for engineers and integrators in 2026.
