New Hope, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Attleboro, Massachusetts, serving communities in South-Central and Southeastern Massachusetts affected by domestic and sexual violence. It offers a continuum of services—from crisis intervention and a hotline to emergency shelter and counseling—designed to help survivors achieve safety and longer-term independence. The organization operates within a social justice framework, seeking to address inequality and oppression and to build an anti-violence movement, guided by a vision that every person has the right to live free from violence and exploitation. Founded in 1979 by Edith Palmer, the agency began with a single hotline and gradually broadened its geographic reach and programmatic offerings to address violence more comprehensively. Over time it expanded preventive and educational services and broadened collaboration with other stakeholders to improve outcomes for survivors and families. In May 2025, New Hope participated in the Highlights of Hope event to recognize local heroes.
