NatLaw, formally known as the Kozolchyk National Law Center, is a non-profit research and legal reform institution affiliated with the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law. Based in Tucson, Arizona, it was founded in 1992 and operates in the international trade and development space, focusing on creating legal frameworks that enhance access to credit and investment for micro, small, and medium enterprises. The organization conducts work across five areas—commercial law reform and best business and trade practices, access to credit, promotion of alternative dispute resolution, and capacity-building programs—aimed at helping MSMEs thrive by strengthening legal protections for all parties involved. Its projects are global in scope, spanning Latin America, Africa, and other regions, and are supported by international and U.S. agencies, with a staff comprising recognized experts in comparative commercial law and related areas such as banking, secured transactions, and electronic commerce. NatLaw emphasizes capacity-building through practical training for professionals, business owners, and students, underlining an educational mission alongside its research and reform activities.
