Native News Online is a Grand Rapids-based publisher in the book and periodical sector that provides daily news focused on Native American communities nationwide. Founded in 2011, it serves American Indians, Alaska Natives, and others with an interest in Indigenous concerns and reaches millions of Native and non-Native readers each year. The outlet aims to deliver timely reporting on issues affecting tribal citizens and related topics across the United States. Historically, the organization was acquired by Indian Country Media Network in 2020 and has since pursued partnerships to broaden its coverage, including with Verizon Media Group and the Multicultural Media Correspondents Association for live-event initiatives around Native voters and Indian Country. Valerie Vande Panne was appointed managing editor in 2021. In March 2022, Native News Online launched a live-stream interview program to highlight Native Americans who are making news.
