Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP) is a Native-led non-profit organization focused on directing philanthropic dollars into Indian Country. With a history spanning over three decades, NAP works to promote equitable and effective philanthropy in Native communities by leveraging a network of Native professionals, elected Tribal leaders, youth, executives, board members, and nonprofit leaders to increase visibility, education for funders, and relationships that align with Indigenous values. The organization aims to boost funding and accountability to Indigenous-led organizations, grassroots movements, and Tribal Nations, while advancing data availability and Indigenous-led research to inform giving. Based in Washington, DC, NAP collaborates with partner organizations and funders to strengthen community-based solutions and leadership across Native philanthropy, with recent activity including expanding the Indigenous Tomorrows Fund to center young people in grantmaking across the United States.
