The National University of Engineering (UNI) is a public higher education institution based in Lima, Peru, with its main campus in the Rimac district. It was founded on March 18, 1876 by Eduardo de Habich, a Polish engineer, at the initiative of the Peruvian state, and it began as the School of Engineers before being elevated to university status in 1955. UNI focuses on sciences, engineering, technologies, and applied arts and is organized into 11 faculties offering 28 specialties.
