National Links Trust is a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC, focused on improving municipal golf facilities to benefit local communities. Since its founding in 2019, the organization has committed to rehabilitating and operating Washington’s three public courses—Rock Creek Park Golf, Langston Golf Course, and East Potomac Golf Links—under a long-term lease with the National Park Service. Its efforts combine facility restoration with educational and community programs, environmental sustainability partnerships, and knowledge-sharing about best practices in municipal golf, while pursuing near-term capital projects at the sites. The nonprofit engages with national and local partners, including initiatives such as a caddie program in collaboration with the Evans Scholars Foundation, and has pursued expansion and revitalization work including plans related to facilities modeled after established courses. The organization operates within the community services sector, aiming to provide affordable and accessible golf as a means to positively impact residents and stakeholders in the nation’s capital and beyond.
