Based in Seattle, Washington, the National Center for APEC (NCAPEC) is a U.S. business association dedicated to facilitating private sector engagement in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. Established in 1994, NCAPEC is led by a board drawn from a broad cross-section of major American companies and concentrates on advancing private sector policy priorities in APEC's trade and economic discussions. It also serves as the Secretariat to the U.S. members of ABAC, the formal channel for private sector input within APEC. NCAPEC extends its work through its Pacific Summit Resources subsidiary, which provides advisory and logistical support for international executive-level events and summits in the Asia-Pacific, including program development and sponsor recruitment. Its mission is to stimulate U.S. private sector engagement in APEC and to convey private sector priorities from APEC to audiences at home and abroad. In 2022 NCAPEC announced the launch of the APEC 2023 Private Sector Host Committee.
