MV WERFTEN is a mid-sized shipbuilding group operating three yards located in Wismar, Rostock and Stralsund on Germany's Baltic coast. The facilities have direct access to the Baltic Sea and feature weather-independent fabrication and robust logistics, supporting a modern and efficient European shipbuilding presence. Over roughly seven decades, the yards have designed, produced and outfitted around 2,500 sea-going newbuildings, including two AIDA cruise vessels, Premicon river cruise ships and Stena Line ferries.

Its current strategic focus is on developing and constructing luxury cruise and river cruise vessels as well as megayachts, targeting premium cruise operators and high-end projects. Headquartered in Wismar, the company invests in locations, new technologies and staff training to ensure quality work delivered as "made in MV" and to sustain its position in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
