MOSES, a group of diverse congregations that organizes communities, develops leaders and builds relationships to advocate for social justice. As a community of congregations of faith, MOSES is motivated by a common understanding that each person is a part of a humanity created by God. We are a faith community compelled by the prophetic mandate to "do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly before God." This we seek not merely for ourselves or for those who are members of our congregations, but for our entire community, who we see, through our faith, as members of the brotherhood and sisterhood of all humanity. Because faith must be accompanied with action, our faith mandates that we strive together to pursue the goals we believe are keeping with the design of God. Because we begin from the position of faith in God, we are confident that we are working and walking side by side, under the guidance of God. We are participating in a movement necessitated, even commanded by God to take responsibility for the quality of life of our brothers and sisters. It is to this charge and challenge that we seek to rise and work, for the good of our community, our society, our children and for theirs'.
