Morris & Morris was formed in 1989 by James W. Morris, III, Philip B. Morris and several other veteran lawyers from Richmond’s Browder, Russell, Morris and Butcher, a general practice firm of 55 lawyers. We were able to gain from our experiences in a larger firm the skills and expertise to handle many different types of litigation, including complex and involved claims. The founders of Morris & Morris sought to carve out a niche for a sophisticated trial firm, devoted to litigation, that could compete with larger firms for complex trial work on behalf of national and international clients.
