MorphCostumes is an Edinburgh-based retailer in the fashion and costumes sector, founded in 2009 by Fraser and Ali Smeaton with friend Gregor Lawson. It originated with Morphsuits, the spandex costumes that defined its early offering, and has since expanded to more than 1,000 costume designs for men, women and children. The range covers attire for occasions such as Halloween, Christmas, stag dos, sporting events and school activities like World Book Day, and the business operates within the AFG Media group, which also owns the Royal and Awesome golf-wear brand. MorphCostumes licenses its products with Marvel, Hasbro and WWE, enabling licensed branding for its costumes. It sells through major online platforms across the USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, Mexico and Australia, serving a global consumer audience. In 2025, MorphCostumes was named a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award, reflecting external recognition of its business.
